Hobby Packs are a very popular choice for many woodworkers who want a small quantity of wood for a project or just want to try something new.  All Hobby Packs are shipped wrapped in a cardboard container to protect the wood in shipment.  Scroll down for pricing and availability.

A Standard Hobby Pack is roughly 19-20bf of material. Thicknesses will be minimum 15/16" unless otherwise stated, widths from 4" to just under 8" and lengths from 24" to 59".  With packaging the total length will be just under 60" which is the cutoff point for UPS for standard rates. Anything longer than 60" or heavier than 70lbs will have a surcharge added by UPS.

Longer material can be shipped. The packaging we use is expandable up to 84" but please remember the UPS surcharge for extra length and weight. 








When you purchase a small or large flat rate pack of wood from us the shipping is included in the price.  For example, if  the price for a small flat rate pack of walnut is $22 then that's your total price including shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states.

The packs will be filled with pieces of wood that will range from 3" and wider. Thicknesses will be 15/16" and up. These packs are not just a collection of unuseable cutoffs. The intent is to offer smaller pieces of excellent wood perfect for box making, scroll work, intarsia, inlays, marquetry or anything else requiring smaller cuttings.
